We* invite you to design a poster in honor of Kari, commemorating your connection with him and celebrating his life and work.
Kari often took great care in designing commemorative posters himself. A few of them are on this website and here they are presented as a curated selection.
All posters will be displayed on this website on a future subpage called Homage.
A digital exhibition of posters may also at some point be presented in the Virtual Art Gallery. If possible, a link to this gallery will be made known at the Lahti International Poster Triennial 2025 exhibition.
To enable potential physical exhibitions, we kindly ask that files be submitted in a format suitable for high-quality digital printing. The selection committee for these exhibitions consists of *) Pekka Loiri, Finn Nygaard, and Pekka Piippo.
By sending your poster file, we wish you also grant permission for the Lahti Poster Museum / Malva to add your work to their poster collection. If you wish otherwise, please indicate this when submitting your files.
As the designer of your commemorative poster, you retain full rights to your work and are free to submit it to any poster competition, exhibition, or publication.

With 5 mm bleeds & trim marks.
File
As production-ready PDF, or as Illustrator file.
300 dpi resolution or vector format.
Color Conversion: “Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers)”. Destination: “Coated FOGRA39”. Profile Inclusion Policy: “Don’t Include Profiles”.
If possible, please also send a 700 ✕ 1000 px PNG (no bleeds or crop marks). This screen version is used on the Homage page.
